The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie two Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services into the community.
SASSA are going to be rendering services including new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency mentioned it is actually alarmed with regard to the superior number of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a large amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“That is due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office dedicated to service the area regularly. The assistance issue created for intervention ordeals a large inflow of potential beneficiaries, that makes it hard for your Workplace to attend to all people who check out a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more assets to enable the servicing of all buyers and improve access to Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
